JediMickey........Charlie
JediMickey on the left. Charlie on the right. The path is shown. Charlie begins walking to his place. JediMickey begins his perfectly timed and perfectly paced walk. Charlie, unable to perform even the most simple task of walking, misses a step. JediMickey sees this and reacts accordingly. Charlie is frozen, afraid, and uncertain of what to do. JediMickey's quick thinking and nimble reactions stop a sure collision as JediMickey squeezed around the clumsy Charlie. Because of JediMickey's quick reactions and expert footwork, the scene is saved. CUT, PRINT, WRAP! |
filmography
- Cultivating Charlie - JediMickey had a MAJOR part in this big time Hollywood film. In JediMickey's biggest scene he was asked by the director to cross (that's fancy Hollywood talk for walk) behind the title character (that's Charlie) as he walked across the room. we had to shoot the scene several times (because Charlie kept messing up). The director spoke to me after each take about the scene. He wanted me to speed up my walking so that I would be pass behind Charlie with just a centimeter between us. Of course, I did correctly. However, the director had to shoot 3 times because of Charlie's mistake. The director knew, as I did, there was no use talking to Charlie because Charlie didn't have a clue how to walk properly. So before the third take the director asked me to walk a little faster (to make up for the slow Charlie). He told me to pass just behind Charlie, but no matter what to not run into or touch Charlie. What happened next is truly one of the greatest moments in cinema history. The diagram to the left shows the scene step by step.
